Dr. Michelle Weeks is the founder of Weeks Wellness. After starting her career in orthopedics focused on treating musculoskeletal and chronic pain conditions, she developed a strong interest in pelvic health, postpartum, and pregnancy physical therapy. She believes in a whole-body treatment approach and is passionate about helping people reach their optimal level of function. Her treatment philosophy balances proven manual therapy techniques with therapeutic exercise prescriptions individually designed for each patient to achieve their goals. 

Dr. Weeks has gone through the CAPP-Pelvic program through the APTA and became a Board Certified Women’s Health Clinical Specialist, one of about 500 in the country. Dr. Weeks has also received certification in dry needling through Master Dry Needling. She has obtained advanced training in the areas of visceral and neural manipulation through the Barral Institute, myofascial release, taping, pregnancy, and postpartum through the Institute for Birth Healing, Male Pelvic Pain with Gerard Greene, McKenzie assessment and management of spine and joint conditions and gynecological visceral mobilization. Through continuing education, she continuously advances her skills. She enjoys spending time with her family traveling, hiking, biking, running, and enjoying the great outdoors.  

Dr. Michelle Weeks earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Creighton University and her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from Pennsylvania State University.

Tammy Russell has a long history as a dietitian, an integrative nutritionist and a functional medicine-based counselor.

She has worked in the fields of inpatient and outpatient nutrition, clinical research, health coaching, private counseling and teaching.  She has a bachelors and master’s degree in Nutritional Science from Rutgers University, and completed her dietetic internship at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor.  

Tammy trained in functional medicine with the Institute for Functional Medicine, Functional Medicine University, Apex Energetics and Metagenics. Tammy’s main areas of focus are gut health, autoimmune disease, hormone balance, fertility, cardiovascular, endocrine and other chronic diseases. Tammy is also a Reiki Master and intuitive energy healer. 

Currently residing in Portland, Oregon, Tammy enjoys hiking, walking, reading, creating new recipes in the kitchen, and spending time with her family.  

DDr. Sorenson (she/her/hers) is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She attended undergraduate at Florida State University and medical school at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. She trained in psychiatry residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Dr. Sorenson worked in Denver before returning to Tallahassee in 2020. She is originally from Central Florida. Dr. Sorenson worked in multiple settings: inpatient, homeless outreach, telemedicine, community mental health and private practice. Dr. Sorenson has special interests in Women's Mental Health/Reproductive Psychiatry, LGBTQI Mental Health, Climate Psychiatry, HIV/AIDs Mental Health, Addictions/Substance Use Disorders, and Psychedelic Psychiatry. Dr. Sorenson is a member of the American Psychiatric Association (APA) and is a co-chair for the APA Climate Caucus. She is also a member of the International Society of Reproductive Psychiatry. Dr. Sorenson is on faculty at FSU College of Medicine and UCF College of Medicine. Dr. Sorenson is licensed in Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, and Colorado. She is willing to see patients for telemedicine in all licensed states, however, she will only prescribe controlled substances for patients seen in the state of Florida.

Dr. Melissa Kate Urrutia is a dedicated pelvic health physical therapist with a comprehensive background in various aspects of physical and mental wellness.

Dr. Urrutia’s academic journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, followed by a Master of Education in Counseling. She then pursued a Doctor of Physical Therapy, equipping her with the knowledge and skills to address a wide range of physical health issues. Her expertise is further bolstered by specialized training in pelvic health rehabilitation from Herman and Wallace, and attaining a Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise specialist certification ensuring a holistic approach to patient care.

In addition to her primary focus on pelvic health, Dr. Urrutia holds a certificate in vestibular rehabilitation, and is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, and a NASM Certified Nutrition Coach. These qualifications enable her to provide comprehensive care tailored specifically for her patient’s unique conditions.

Dr. Urrutia has a particular interest in the role of pelvic health in fitness, wellness, and sport. She is committed to helping her patients achieve optimal health and performance, whether they are managing postpartum recovery or training for athletic pursuits. Her approach is patient-centered, emphasizing individualized care plans that promote long-term wellness and active living.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Urrutia enjoys spending quality time with her family, traveling to new and exciting destinations, practicing yoga, and participating in triathlons. These personal interests not only enrich her life but also enhance her understanding of the diverse needs of her patients.

Laura Schembri is a Registered Dietitian. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics from Murray State University and her Master’s and Dietetic Internship in Nutrition and Food Science from Florida State University.

 Laura has served as a dietitian in many capacities, including public school health, college instructor, weight management, ‘Women, Infants and Children’, and outpatient dietitian. With each role, it became clearer how important nutrition is at every stage of life.

 As a mom who dealt with pregnancy and breastfeeding challenges, she is passionate about supporting women through their own journey of preconception, pregnancy, postpartum and beyond.

 Her own health struggles brought her to functional nutrition and introduced to her a whole new approach to nutrition. She is a certified MRT/LEAP Therapist and has experience with the GI-MAP functional test. She has also completed advanced training with Mastering Gut Health by Health Takes Guts! Laura is dedicated to finding the root cause of digestive and nutritional health problems and helping everyone nourish their body through nutrition.
