At Weeks Wellness, transparency and open communication are critical elements of our commitment to exceptional care.
A well-informed patient is an empowered patient.
-
We are a small, fee-for-service clinic and collect payment at the time of service (cash, credit card, check, flexible savings accounts, and health savings accounts). By not being in the network, we are not constrained to what insurance will allow and can provide a level of care that is right for you.
You may submit a claim for any in-person therapy visits if your insurance has out-of-network coverage, and we can provide an invoice on request.
Online and nutrition consultations are considered wellness services and therefore do not qualify for insurance reimbursement.
-
At one of our three locations or any convenient location within an hour of our Tallahassee, FL clinic
-
CANCELLATION/NO SHOW POLICY: 50% of your visit fee will be charged for appointments cancelled with less than 24 business hours notice or if patient does not show for appointment. After the second late cancellation or no-show, the full rate for the appointment will be charged.
-
For online services, you do not, as they fall under the health and wellness umbrella.
For in-person visits in the state of Florida, a written prescription will be required if treatment is needed for > 30 days. No physician referral is required in the state of Massachusetts.
If your therapist feels additional medical examination or treatment is indicated, we may encourage you to see a physician or can refer you to a physician at any time.
-
The first session will take an in-depth look into your health and medical history, current concerns, symptoms, and goals. After a thorough history is taken, an initial assessment will be given to assess posture, motion, strength, balance, and function. A treatment plan will then be developed that will work for you.
-
Like a regular evaluation, we will take a comprehensive history, including your symptoms, concerns, and goals. After your history is taken, an assessment of your posture, strength, motion, pelvic alignment, and pelvic floor muscles will be completed. An internal vaginal or rectal exam is the gold standard for assessing function and strength. However, these assessments are only completed with your permission and consent. If you are not comfortable initially, there are external techniques that we can use for assessment purposes.
-
We want you to wear whatever clothing is comfortable for you. Depending on our treatment plan, some find workout clothes and supportive shoes work best.
-
It is helpful to have a list of questions, concerns, and goals available to share with your therapist.
